Although not everyone has had the pleasure of meeting this particular Gremlin, each person who has is well acquainted with his gear grinding ghoulishness. He sits in wait for the most devastating of weather- usually torrential downpours or below freezing temperatures. In those moments he strikes, feeling as though he has provided enough warning already, and completely destroys the electrical or mechanical system without which your vehicle’s window cannot operate. Your window is left open. You are left exposed to the disgusting weather. It is Sunday – or after 9:00 PM and none of the auto repair shops are open. Your Electric Window Gremlin is left laughing and cheering as you drive home – which is undoubtedly across town or possibly farther! The only direct method of resolution I have found is prevention. Please consider manual windows on your next vehicle!
